Includes information on in-print, out-of-print and forthcoming books, as well as video and audio recordings from North American publishers. It also includes full-text reviews from 11 sources.

BuildingGreen Suite
A key resource for sustainable design. Topics include environmental performance and the adverse impacts of buildings. Contains articles, reviews and news from Environmental Building News (EBN), product listings from the GreenSpec products directory, and project case studies from the High-Performance Buildings Database.

Contains important facts and key events dealing with public and private companies, industries, products and markets for all manufacturing service industries at an international level.

Selectively covers master's theses and dissertations from Canada, Great Britain and Europe.

DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals
Covers free, full text, quality controlled scholarly and scientific journals. Architecture, visual art, performance, art history, music, literature and multidisciplinary studies are among the subjects represented. As of 12/2009 there are 4474 journals in the directory and almost 33,000 articles.

EconLit
Contains citations, with abstracts, to articles from more than 400 economics journals.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online
EB Online includes the complete encyclopedia as well as the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary and an Internet directory of links to Web sites selected and evaluated by Britannica editors. For information on searching this database, click here.

ERIC (at FirstSearch)
Is the Educational Resources Information Center. This database covers all aspects of education and educational research, and includes both abstracts of published and unpublished sources on thousands of educational topics.

FactSearch
Corresponds to the printed publication A Matter of Fact. It has facts and statistics about current social, economic, environmental and political issues.

Film and Television Index (from EBSCOhost)
Comprehensive bibliographic and full-text database covering the entire spectrum of television and film. Subjects include film and television theory, preservation and restoration, writing, production, cinematography, technical aspects and reviews. The database provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 270 publications, including some full-text articles.

GEOBASE
Has citations with abstracts covering worldwide literature on geography, geology, ecology, international development and their related disciplines.

Grove Dictionary of Art
Provides online access to the entire text of the 34-volume Dictionary of Art, plus newly commissioned articles. The database includes articles on every aspect of the visual arts from prehistory through the present and offers access to more than 130,000 searchable images. JSTOR
A fully searchable electronic database containing  full-text articles from scholarly journals in a variety of academic disciplines. JSTOR is an archive containing the complete back runs of journals. The researcher is able to retrieve high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed, printed and illustrated. The most recent two to five years of the published materials are not available in this database. For information on searching this database, click here.

LexisNexis Academic
The Web site contains approximately 5,000 publications, most of which are full text. The types of publications include newspapers (in English, other languages and translations of international papers), legal news, general interest magazines, medical journals, trade publications, company financial information, transcripts, wire service reports, government publications, law reviews and reference works.

LIFE Photo Archive
Ten million images, ranging from the 1860s to the present, from LIFE magazine's Photo Archive.  Ninety-seven percent of the images were never made available to the public.

Literature Resource Center

Media Review Digest

netLibrary
Access to SCAD's collection of more than 50,000 full-text electronic books. For off-campus use, a free user account is available to all SCAD students, faculty and staff (respond to patron verification prompt and select option to create an account).

Professional Development Collection (from EBSCOhost)
Provides access to education journals, including peer-reviewed titles for professional educators and education researchers. Coverage includes topics related to education, pedagogy and educational theory.

Project Muse
Provides access to nearly 250 full text digitized journals from 40 scholarly publishers in the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics and others.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection (from EBSCOhost)
Provides access to 575 full-text publications. Most titles are peer-reviewed journals. The database covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

ReferenceUSA
Provides information on businesses (national and international), brands and residential demographics, making it an ideal resource for conducting marketing research and competitive analysis, as well as locating people and organizations.

Smithsonian Institute: Collections Search Center
Provides access to 2 million records with 265,900 images, video and sound files, electronic journals and other resources from the Smithsonian's museums, archives & libraries. The Smithsonian American Art Museum, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, and Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies are just a few of the collections represented.

A comprehensive collection of fashion industry reports, trends and color forecasting, and market intelligence. It also includes more than 2 million images of designer collections, street fashion, celebrity styles, sketches and graphics, as well as store interiors and displays.
