About LINK'Design
The 2009 International Interior Design Student Competition, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design, invites students throughout international colleges and universities working in three-student multidisciplinary teams to develop a 4-D visitor experience for a United States National Park Service National Monument that incorporates the historical, ecological, economic and cultural issues surrounding the site.

The United States National Park Service is preparing nationally for its centennial anniversary in 2016. The Fort Pulaski National Monument on Cockspur Island, Ga., is looking to create a new visitor experience for the entire 6,000-acre National Monument site, including renovation to the Visitor Center, which will act as an interactive informational hub. Its target audiences are the local Chatham County, Ga., community, American and international tourists visiting Savannah, Ga., American Civil War enthusiasts, recreational users, and students from primary school to university.
Prizes
The competition will culminate in an exhibition and award ceremony at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah. All entries will be shown in presentation format at the LINK'D exhibition. The winning finalists will be invited to Savannah for the presentation of the award. Three finalists will be chosen, with the winning design solution team receiving $4,500 and the runners-up teams each receiving $1,500. Winning design solutions will receive media coverage and will be considered for the renovation of the Fort Pulaski National Monument Visitor Center Complex on Cockspur Island.
This competition is open to all students who are enrolled full-time at a college or university. Proof of enrollment required (see details).
