Students at Jen Libray, SavannahLearning Assistance Centers
Learning assistance centers offer free ongoing tutoring in courses most often requested by students. Other specific tutoring is available by request. Designated drawing and design tutors offer individual tutoring and group workshops on drawing, 2-D design and color theory. In addition, writing centers provide individual and small-group assistance in prewriting strategies, structuring ideas, developing thesis statements and formulating cover letters. Assistance may be provided in person, or via e-mail, instant messaging or telephone.

Provisional Student Support Group
The transition to college is not always an easy experience. With this transition comes higher academic expectations, diverse social situations, a new environment, and often, the loss of familiar people and places. Join this group to learn and share strategies on how to succeed academically, connect with others, deal with stress, and make your transition to college a success.

Academics Anonymous Group
If you are a student who is on academic warning, probation, reinstated, or you just feel like you are not doing as well a you could academically, this support group can provide a supportive environment. Share with other students what you have learned, connect with students who are going through a similar experience, deal with the stress of college, and have access to advising and counseling staff on a weekly basis.

Writing Center
The SCAD Writing Centers offer students, faculty and staff individualized and small-group assistance with all aspects of the writing process, from prewriting to developing a thesis statement, structuring ideas and much more.

When students arrive prepared to think about and discuss their writing, they benefit from more tailored attention from consultants, making the student-led approach a key factor in successful consultations. The central aim of the Writing Center is to help students become more confident, effective and independent writers. For this reason, the Writing Center does not function as a proofreading or editing service, nor does it act as a substitute for students' relationships with teachers, advisers or committee members.
